The short version
The Moto-Log app does not collect, store, transmit or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads and no in-app tracking — everything you enter stays on your device. This marketing website (separate from the app) uses Google Analytics, but only if you agree via the cookie banner. See This website below.
Data stored on your device
All logbook entries you create (motorcycles, rides, maintenance records, mileage) are stored locally on your device only. We have no access to this data.
Network access
The app works completely offline and makes no network connections. The built-in motorcycle database is bundled with the app.
Backups
When you use the export function, a backup file is created and handed to the app or storage location you choose (e.g. your cloud provider or email app). From that point on, the handling of the file is governed by the privacy policy of the service you selected. Importing a backup only reads the file you pick.
Permissions
Moto-Log can use your camera and photo library, but only when you choose to add a photo to one of your motorcycles. That photo is saved locally on your device and is never uploaded or shared. The app does not access your location, contacts, microphone or any other sensitive data.
Children's privacy
Since no data is collected from anyone, no data is collected from children either.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated before the change ships.
This website
These marketing and support pages are separate from the app. This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Analytics cookies are only set after you give consent via the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are stored and no data is sent to Google. When enabled, Google Analytics may process your (IP-anonymized) usage data on Google's servers — see Google's Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent any time by clearing this site's cookies. The app itself contains no analytics whatsoever.
